The Gaja family settled in Piedmont in the mid-17th century. Five generations have taken turns in wine production since Giovanni Gaja, in 1859, founded the winery in Barbaresco, in the heart of the Langhe.
Today Gaja owns about 250 hectares of vineyards in the provinces of Tuscany and Piedmont, producing about 350,000 bottles annually.
Description
Brunello di Montalcino DOCG from the Pieve Santa Restituta winery belonging to the Gaja family is a powerful and elegant red wine. It was made with Sangiovese grapes from four vineyards on the estate. It is a rich, smooth and persistent wine. The bottle packaged in a wooden box.
Organoleptic characteristics:
It has a deep ruby red color. The nose is complex, with hints of fruit, flowers, herbs, delcate spices and miniral notes. On the palate velvety, harmonious, elegant with long finish and fine tannins.
