Cellar

Champagne Maurice Grumier was born from the indefatigable passion of a very long lineage of winegrowers from Venteuil, on the right bank of the Marne, animated for twelve generations by an inexhaustible love of vines and wine. Today, Fabien and Hélène continue to build the history of the Maison by perpetuating know-how rooted in the land. Ardent defenders of their land, they pay great attention to their infinitely rich soils. The family temperament shines through in exceptional Champagnes and expresses all the strength of character that runs through their veins. On predominantly calcareous soils with also a good presence of clay, and a little sand on the hilltops. On the left bank, Festigny, predominantly limestone, and Dormans, rather clayey. 9 hectares planted on 7 different crus, on each side of the Marne, offer Fabien a very wide range of possibilities in his blends. Natural work, respectful of the environment, is therefore a necessity to limit the impact of his work. He prefers to imprint it in his wines rather than in his environment.
