Vigna San Francesco is an extraordinary, fresh and long-lived wine from Tenuta Regaleali. It is exclusively produced with Chardonnay grapes harvested between the end of August and the first days of September. The project of creating a wine of superior quality and rank by using the most celebrated and spread white Chardonnay vine in the world was born in the mid 1980's by Lucio Tasca.
Organoleptic characteristics:
The nose expresses a complex aroma which combines hints of exotic fruit and banana, enriched by delicate notes of vanilla and cinnamon. On the palate is very rich and balanced, with a very long and pleasingly crisp finish.
The fermentation of grapes is done in 350 liter French oak barrels, with daily batonnage for the first 10-15 days. Malolactic fermentation was not done.
