The New Zealand winery Cloudy Bay began its history in 1985 with the first vintage of its captivating and vibrant Sauvignon Blanc. Started by David Hohnen, founder of Cape Mentelle, Cloudy Bay was one of the first five wineries in the Marlborough region. Cloudy Bay currently produces Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pelorus from its Marlborough vineyards, using the technique known as 'méthode traditionnelle'. The quality and variety of these wines are a testament to Marlborough's history and tradition as a wine region. Cloudy Bay is currently distributed by Moët Hennessy.
Description
Sauvignon Blanc from the Cloudy Bay winery has been a flagship wine of New Zealand since its first vintage. It is known the world over for its quality and texture. It is a smooth and savoury Sauvignon, rich and enveloping with a long finish.
Organoleptic characteristics:
It has a straw yellow colour. On the nose there are notes of exotic fruit, hints of lime, sage, white peach, white pepper and mint. In the mouth it is soft and savoury, rich and enveloping with a long finish.

Vinification
Fermentation was carried out in stainless steel barrels with a mixture of selected and natural yeasts
