The Società Agricola I Capitani is located in the town of Torre le Nocelle (Avellino), in the district of Bosco Faiano, among 12 hectares of hilly land magnificently exposed and cultivated with vineyards and olive groves. The company's structure is dedicated to the production of noble wines and fine extra virgin olive oil, as well as offering a simple, but appreciated, rural hospitality.
Today, as always, supported by the desire and the pride of handing down the craft of his father, L' objective of the' company is to promote the image of Irpinia, a land rich in flavors, traditions and culture, through a project of careful attention to detail that aims to achieve perfection.
Description
A wine of high rank, red and alive as blood (in Greek heme): dedicated to true lovers. Magnificent blend, of unusual pleasantness and elegance, obtained by the wise and balanced blend of wines made from grapes of Aglianico Taurasi, Merlot and Sangiovese, cultivated with true passion in our "Bosco Faiano" vineyards.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Color: Intense and brilliant red, with violet reflections.
Bouquet: Intense fruitiness of black cherry, currant and other berries with clear impressions of liquorice and wood.
Taste: Full, harmonious, velvety with an unmistakable taste of ripe plum.
Storage time:
7-10 years old
Vinification
Sangiovese and Merlot end of September from grapes harvested slightly overripe by hand with selection of the best bunches. Aglianico end of October. After destemming the grapes, the must ferments on the skins for about 15 days at controlled temperature.
