In 1998, the Cantine del Notaio winery was born out of a passion for viticulture, when Gerardo Giuratrabocchetti, a graduate in Agricultural Sciences, and his wife Marcella took up the challenge of valorising the Aglianico del Vulture grown in their vineyards, combining tradition, innovation, history and culture of the territory.
Together with Professor Luigi Moio, Professor of Oenology at the University of Naples "Federico II", research is carried out on the oenological potential of this vine, the most important in Southern Italy, austere and generous at the same time and capable of producing wines with extraordinary personality.
Description
"Cantine del Notaio's 'La Firma' is an exemplary expression of Aglianico del Vulture, an oenological monument in which the character of the terroir clearly emerges. It is an austere, imposing wine, initially striking for its power, only to let its complex, mysterious and elegant soul be revealed.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Colour: Ruby red with vivid purple reflections, luminous and impenetrable
Nose: The nose is complex and characterised by aromas of small black berry fruits in jam, liquorice, Greek hay and carob on a spicy background.
Taste: The taste is powerful and harmonious, characterised by velvety tannins and a long, pleasantly balsamic finish
Storage time:
over 7 years
Vinification
maceration of about 20 days being able to extract more by having perfect tannin maturation.
