In the province of Verona, very close to the center of Cerè di Negrar, on Cà Paletta mountain, rises Quintarelli winery; winery born at the beginning of 1900 from the intuition and foresight of the founder Silvio Quintarelli, who fully understood the great potential of his land, Valpolicella.
Today the baton is passed to the youngest of his sons, Giuseppe Quintarelli, who, with rigor and respect for tradition and territory, has established himself as one of the "masters" and points of reference in the production of Amarone.
Description
Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOP 2014 is produced in Veneto by the renowned winery of Giuseppe Quintarelli, located on the first hills of Negrar, 350 meters above sea level. The moderately continental climate typical of Valpolicella and the soil, mainly calcareous, give the wine its organoleptic characteristics. The vines used for the production of this still red wine are corvina, molinara and rondinella.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Color: Garnet of moderate intensity
Bouquet: Initially hints of cedar, graphite, wood smoke are perceived, then more evident fruit aromas are perceived, mainly morello cherry and ripe raspberry.
Taste: Dry and medium bodied wine shows first notes of red fruit in the form of those cherries and raspberries perceived on the nose, followed by the aroma of plum and the whole is enveloped by aromas of wild herbs and oak with a note of minerality that is persistent through the long finish.
