In the province of Verona, just a stone's throw from the centre of Cerè di Negrar, on the Cà Paletta mountain, stands the Quintarelli winery; a winery born at the beginning of the '1900s from the intuition and foresight of the founder of the family, Silvio Quintarelli, who fully understood the great potential of his land, Valpolicella.
Today the baton has passed to the youngest of his sons, Giuseppe Quintarelli, who, with rigour and respect for tradition and the land, has established himself as one of the 'masters' and points of reference in the production of Amarone.
Description
Quintarelli's Primofiore Rosso is a truly surprising wine, especially if the purchased bottle is left in the cellar for a few years. It is a blend of Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon; when young, it releases vegetal notes, typical of Cabernet, but evolves towards spicy notes and hints of dried red fruit with age. It originates in Negrar, the noble heart of Valpolicella Classica, on vineyards resting on hilly soils of volcanic and calcareous nature.
