The history of Ruggeri winery is deeply rooted in the viticultural tradition of Valdobbiadene's territory, this is proved by the toponym "Case Bisoi" (Bisol's houses) traced in the most ancient maps, right in the center of Cartizze. In the second half of the 1800's, Eliseo Bisol owned a small winery in Santo Stefano and his son Luigi, one of the first enologists in Valdobbiadene, around 1920 built a winery in Montebelluna. In 1950 Giustino Bisol founded the new winery together with his cousin whose surname was chosen as a trademark for their business.
Since the beginning Ruggeri was among the very few wineries in Valdobbiadene dedicated to the production of sparkling wine and Giustino's work found in the work of his son Paolo and his niece Isabella a natural continuity. In 2017 Ruggeri became part of Rotkäppchen-Mumm, a choice supported by full coincidence of vision, trust in the same values and the common intent of an ever higher quality.
