Paturno is certainly one of the most important wines produced by the Barsento winery, a lively interpretation of the two representative grape varieties of Puglia, Primitivo and Negroamaro is distinguished by its characteristic and original organoleptic profile at the same time with the right sugar and alcohol content and by good fixed acidity, which helps to enhance its aromas and maintain them over time.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Dark ruby red color with purplish highlights.
The nose is intense, vinous and fruity with hints of blueberries, black cherries, wild strawberries and balsamic notes.
The palate reveals a nice roundness and splendid tannicity.
The two wines are vinified separately with maceration lasting 10-12 days in 45-quart steel winemakers at a controlled temperature of 25° C, with frequent pumping over for the purpose of extracting aromatic and coloring substances while softening the tannic mass.
