Bramasole Cortona DOC Syrah 2017 La Braccesca
The Antinori have dedicated themselves to the art of viticulture for more than six hundred years: ever since, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Florentine Guild of Winemakers.
For 26 generations, the family has always managed this activity directly, making innovative and sometimes courageous choices, but always maintaining unaltered respect for tradition and for the territory.
Each vintage, each soil, each idea is a new beginning, a new search for higher and higher quality margins. As Marquis Piero likes to say: "the ancient roots play an important role in our philosophy, but they have never inhibited our innovative spirit".
From the sunniest slice of vineyard, from the innovative spirit of the Antinori family, from one of the areas of Cortona most suited to the cultivation of quality Syrah, comes Bramasole, a wine capable of evolving over time and telling the story, according to a new variety, of a territory with an ancient winemaking tradition. The first vintage produced of Bramasole was 2000.
Bramasole 2017 shows an intense and dark ruby red color. The nose is sinuous and elegant, with ripe fruit notes of cherry and blackberry that combine with spicy sensations and a sweet aroma of licorice. The palate is powerful, rich and balanced. Pleasant tannins are well present and balanced by softness. The finish is long and characterized by aromas of vanilla and blackberry in the aftertaste.
