Giovanni Aiello is an oenologist and wine producer who has increasingly established himself on the Apulian wine scene, even crossing international borders with great success. It is thanks to his love for the vineyard and his land, Apulia, and it is among the rows of the Canale di Pirro that his adventure began. He studied oenology in the cradle of viticulture with its ancient charm, in Veneto and Friuli, working between the sunny valleys of California and the distant hills of Australia, taking his roots everywhere. "It is said that wine is the most authentic expression of a territory, and I have always been convinced of this. That is why I chose to start from a simple idea: to produce wines that represent my land, a particularly fortunate and fertile area that runs through Putignano, Castellana and Fasano. The 'Chakra' line, with its hand-painted labels, refers to the essentiality of Apulian landscapes, made of living stone and colourful expanses of fields.

Description

Produced from 100% Primitivo di Gioia del Colle grapes by Giovanni Aiello. The uniqueness of Chakra Rosso lies in the innovative technique used for vinification, called 'vendanges entières', used for centuries in the most prestigious domaines of the Côte d'Or in Burgundy. The carefully selected bunches of grapes are used whole in open vats: in this way, the elegance of the wine is enhanced and exalted, streamlining its body and enriching the bouquet.

Organoleptic characteristics:

Ruby red in colour, clear to the eye. The nose releases aromas of crisp fresh fruit, surrounded by intense spicy tones. On the palate it shows all its finesse, with elegant tannin accompanied by a good acidic presence.

Storage time:

2-6 years

Vinification

Malolactic fermentation takes place in barriques and tonneaux, second and third passage. The wine thus rests on the noble lees until the following spring. Before release, the wine rests in the bottle for the next 6 months.
