Everything started in 2004 with the purchase of a small vineyard in the countryside of Manduria of 1.30 hectares.
Since the beginning, the company's mission has been to produce wines from 50 to 90 years old vines, grown with the Apulian alberello system, with great personality and a strong territorial identity. Today the winery owns about 14.5 hectares of vineyards.

Es Primitivo di Salento is a great Apulian red wine from Gianfranco Fino. The winery's most representative wine, capable like no other of combining elegance and concentration in a continuous chase between acidity and warmth. Ample and generous, "l'Es" is the result of a careful selection of grapes harvested after a light drying on the vine, vinified in steel and left to mature for nine months in barriques of first and second passage. Es 2019 emerged as the best red wine in Italy in the Gentlemen Milan Finance 2022 ranking. This is the fifth time Es has won the crown of Italy's best red wine.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Dark ruby red, the nose expresses a kaleidoscope of sensations and scents. They are enveloping notes, recalling ripe fruit, even jam, and oriental spices. Myrtle, cherries, plums, cocoa, vanilla and coffee. A hint of crumbling opens to an intense, full, generous taste, whose alcoholic breath is perfectly balanced by a well-defined acidity and an unexpected freshness.
