L'beginning of the history of the Maison dates back to 1812, it was created by André Michel Pierlot, it will take the name of Veuve Laurent-Perrier when Mathilde Emilie Perrier, widow of Eugène Laurent decides to unite the two surnames while ensuring its development. Eugénie Hortense Laurent, her daughter, inherited the Maison in 1925 and gave it to Marie-Louise de Nonancourt, née Lanson, in 1939. In 1939, Marie-Louise de Nonancourt, widow and mother of four children, anxious to secure their future, bought Domaine Laurent-Perrier. During World War II, her two eldest sons joined the resistance, Bernard was at the side of'Abbot Pierre. In 1945 Bernard de Nonancourt began a demanding apprenticeship in all phases of the profession from vineyard to cellar before being appointed in October 1948, at the age of 28, President and CEO. The Maison then employed about twenty people and sold 80,000 bottles. Driven by his passion for champagne, his respect for traditional values and, above all, for men, Bernard de Nonancourt instilled in Laurent-Perrier independence of spirit and creative audacity. He established privileged relationships with winemakers; under his guidance, Laurent-Perrier, in just 40 years, became a true innovator in Champagne. He created the Laurent-Perrier style: freshness, finesse, elegance and developed a unique range of champagnes that are exported worldwide to more than 160 countries.

Description

The evolution of general taste towards less sweet wines and consumption as aperitifs have led to the generalization of brut Champagnes, but many amateurs still appreciate the subtlety of past pleasures that Demi-Sec represents.
Harmony is a round and delicate wine thanks to a high percentage of Chardonnay and a balanced dosage.

Organoleptic characteristics:

A soft effervescence, a brilliant and elegant golden yellow color, quite sustained. An intense and rich nose with notes of dried fruits, almonds and hazelnuts, as well as aromas of toasted or toasted bread. After several years of aging, the nose evolves towards rich nuances of honey and pine sap. An ample and generous wine. A warm and rich palate dominated by roundness.
