Description

Sagrantino is an autochthonous grape among the most ancient ones of Umbria, "a wild horse which must be known and tamed with a correct viticultural practice, so that it can speak a harmonic and balanced language". DOC in Montefalco was recognized in 1979 also thanks to the work of Giorgio Lungarotti, it is therefore easy to imagine the investment and the care put by the winery in order to make this beautiful Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG, a wine intense in body, in aromas and in flavors, of incomparable length and deep elegance.

Organoleptic characteristics:

Color: deep red with violet hues. Bouquet: ample and of great complexity; it immediately expresses a fine array of red fruits (blueberry and sour cherry) with elegant woody notes (cocoa, sweet spices and cinchona); prolonged and very harmonious aromas. Palate: powerful structure, nicely concentrated and fresh in the fruit; fragrant acidity and dense, ripe tannins; persistent finish.
