The prestigious wineries Marco Felluga and Russiz Superiore are two realities of Collio which find in their viticultural vocation - started in the second half of 1800, in Istria - what can be considered as a real dynasty of winemakers, which has been able to enhance the potentialities of some grapes and of territories with a vocation for vine. In the thirties, after the First World War, Giovanni Felluga decided to move to Friuli and more precisely to Collio. Marco, the penultimate of Giovanni's seven sons, continued the family business and in 1956 he established the homonymous winery. To him, trained since he was young at the prestigious enology school of Conegliano, is due the path of innovation, quality and research. The balance with which he managed to use innovation and tradition, made his winery a point of reference for the whole territory. Today, his son Roberto, who represents the fifth generation and now runs both wineries: Marco Felluga at Gradisca d'Isonzo (Gorizia) and Russiz Superiore at Capriva del Friuli (Gorizia), continues to follow the path of absolute quality he traced.

Description

Cabernet Franc Russiz Superiore is a red wine endowed with velvety elegance and richness of fruit, liquid testimony of one of the most prestigious wineries of Collio. The names of Marco Felluga and Russiz Superiore are undoubtedly among those who contributed to increase the fame of Collio in the wine world, also characterized by a secular history which began in the second half of the 1800's and grew up to the current level of quality production.

Organoleptic characteristics: 

Intense ruby red color, compact and dark. The olfactory impact of great intensity and elegance blends fruity and vegetal sensations. The olfactory range goes from red berry fruit such as black cherry, blackberry and black currant to the vegetal one of bell pepper. On the palate it is important and classy, with a rich, ample and pleasant body. Shows a freshness well fused with soft notes. Long in the finish, confirms and expands the nose.
