The prestigious Marco Felluga and Russiz Superiore wineries are two realities of Collio that can be considered a true dynasty of winegrowers, who have been able to exploit the potential of certain grapes and territories with a vocation for vine-growing - which began in the second half of the 19th century, in Istria.
In the 1930s, after the First World War, Giovanni Felluga decided to move to Friuli, and more precisely to Collio. Marco, the penultimate of Giovanni's seven children, continued the family business and founded the winery of the same name in 1956. To him, trained from a young age at the prestigious school of oenology in Conegliano, we owe the path of innovation, quality and research.
The balance with which he managed to combine innovation and tradition made his company a point of reference for the entire territory. Today, continuing along the path of absolute quality he traced is his son Roberto, who represents the fifth generation and who now runs both estates: Marco Felluga in Gradisca d'Isonzo (Gorizia) and Russiz Superiore in Capriva del Friuli (Gorizia).
Description
Merlot Russiz Superiore is a charming and comforting red, one of the most representative Italian expressions of one of the world's best-known grape varieties. Trying one's hand at Merlot can be a difficult undertaking in spite of what one might think, since one runs the risk of producing homologated expressions lacking finesse and territoriality. This is not the case with the Merlot produced by Roberto Felluga, owner of two wineries that have made and are still making the history of Collio wine, but above all have contributed to the consolidation of its prestige in the international arena
Organoleptic characteristics:

4-5 years
