In 1907, a small group of winegrowers decided to join forces to improve the quality of their labels, thus giving birth to the San Michele Appiano cooperative winery, which is today a reality that counts around three hundred and fifty members for an annual production that exceeds two million bottles. A veritable colossus, an absolute reference for the entire production world, not only in Alto Adige, that never fails to live up to expectations thanks to a range of unique reliability. From Gewürztraminer to Müller Thurgau, from Sauvignon to Riesling, from Pinot Bianco to Lagrein, each bottle is a perfect synthesis of the varietal from which it was born. Fresh and vibrant wines, characterised by a clear territorial appeal and surprising average quality.
Description
The Cabernet grape variety of French origin, or rather Bordeaux, is among the most important international red wines. This 'universal player' prefers warm soils and sunny exposures in order to develop its most typical characteristics: deep colouring, intense red berry aromas and soft tannins. Two types of Cabernet are cultivated and vinified in South Tyrol: Sauvignon and Franc.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Ruby red colour. Aromas of blackcurrant, liquorice, redcurrant, spices and tobacco. Full-bodied, soft on the palate, consistent with the olfactory notes, structured, complex and persistent.
Storage time:
4-6 years
Vinification
fermentation in steel containers. Followed by malolactic fermentation and ageing in large casks
