Everything started in 2004 with the purchase of a small vineyard in the countryside of Manduria of 1.30 hectares. Since the beginning, the company's mission has been to produce wines from 50 to 90 years old vines, grown with the Apulian alberello system, with great personality and a strong territorial identity. Today the winery owns about 14.5 hectares of vineyards. Es, Primitivo di Manduria Doc, is immediately noticed by wine and food journalists and passionate bloggers ... it divides critics, Es is loved or hated. From the 2004 vintage onwards, Gianfranco Fino obtained the most important national awards, even bringing to Puglia in 2010 the title of Viticulturist of the Year of Gambero Rosso, an award that in Central and Southern Italy has never arrived before, (other winners Josko Gravner, Elio Altare, Romano Dal Forno, Marinella Camerani). Description

Es Red is a fine red wine from Puglia by Gianfranco Fino. Made with grapes from primitivo grape saplings more than 60 years old. The winery's most representative wine, capable like no other of combining elegance and concentration in a continuous chase between acidity and warmth. Broad and generous, "l'Es Red" is the result of a careful selection of grapes harvested after a light drying on the vine, vinified in steel and left to mature for 12 months in barrique and 48 months in bottle.

Organoleptic characteristics: 

It has a dark ruby red color. The nose expresses a kaleidoscope of sensations and scents. These are enveloping notes, recalling black cherry, blueberry, sweet tobacco, leather, spices and balsamic herbs. The palate is warm, enveloping and elegant with a very long finish.

Storage time: 

15 years

Vinification 

Destemming, soft crushing of grapes, maceration in stainless steel vat, skins-must contact for 2 to 3 weeks, temperature control of pomace hair, 2 délestages per day. Pressing of pomace with hydraulic vertical press.
